Eighteen year old Taylor Jones, an Auburn University freshman, is in intensive care at a Columbus, Ga. hospital. He was assaulted between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house. Friends say his skull was fractured when he hit the ground after being punched. According to sources, his condition is improving, and he is responding to visitors.

Police Capt. Tom Stofer said that no weapons were used in the assault. No arrests have been made, but the incident is under investigation.
